The Parade Company & Target Gear up for 50th Anniversary

The 50th Annual Target Fireworks will take place on Monday, June 23 at 10:06 p.m. along the Detroit International Riverfront.  This Star-Spangled Spectacular is lit by the night skies and crowned by a dazzling display of pyrotechnic power. Hundreds of thousands of people line the Riverfront to view one of the nations largest fireworks displays.

The best seats in the city to watch this Detroit tradition are at The Parade Company’s Official VIP Rooftop Party.  The party of all parties is from 6 – 11 p.m. atop the Miller Parking Garage and promises an evening filled with spectacular entertainment, fabulous food, games and activities for children, summertime fun for all!

The Rooftop Party will feature WDIV’s Locals 4’s Super Singer Live contest, showcasing some of metro Detroit’s best singers who will compete in a local American Idol-type contest.  

Event tickets are $175 and all proceeds benefit The Parade Company, producers of America’s Thanksgiving Parade® and the Target Fireworks.

Other Target Fireworks events:

• Families will be able to enjoy Rhythm and Rhymes from the Hart, a day-long family event in Hart Plaza that focuses on literacy, music and family-fun entertainment.  The event is free to the public.
  
  
• GM River Days, along Detroit’s RiverWalk, will culminate with the Target Fireworks.  The family-friendly festival features activities and entertainment spanning from Rivard Plaza & Pavilion to the GM Plaza & Promenade and beyond.
