The theme for the 85th America’s Thanksgiving Parade® is So Much To Believe In.  The theme chosen by The Parade Company, expresses that there is so much to believe in for our great State of Michigan and Detroit!

 

America’s Thanksgiving Parade®, one of the country’s oldest and most celebrated Parades, will step off at 9:05 a.m. on Woodward Avenue and Mack and end at Woodward Avenue and Congress in downtown Detroit on Thursday, November 24, 2011. Hundreds of thousands of parade-goers will be watching as the Parade makes its way down Woodward Avenue.   The parade will be broadcast LIVE on WDIV Local 4 and on WJR 760 AM.  Some of the celebrities in this year's parade are:

 

ê  Dana Sorensen – 2011 America’s Thanksgiving Parade® Queen and her Princess Court

ê  Doug E Fresh – Rapper and Original Beat Box Artist, musician and recording artist

ê  Erin Cummings – Actress “Spartacus”, “Detroit 1-8-7” and “Pan Am”; Founder of Mittens for Detroit

ê  Cari Cucksey – Star of HGTV’s hot series “Cash & Cari”

ê  Jordyn Wieber – International Elite Gymnast

ê  Elizabeth Wertenberger – Miss Michigan 2011

ê  Hooper – Detroit Pistons Mascot

ê  Roary – Detroit Lions mascot

ê  PAWS – Detroit Tigers Mascot
