America’s Thanksgiving Parade® is one of this country’s largest and most spectacular parades!  Every November something magical happens on Detroit’s Woodward Avenue, a holiday tradition dates back to 1924. Since then, 82 celebrations of America’s Thanksgiving Parade® have captured the imaginations of millions of children and their families. It is the telling of America’s story.

On November 27, 2008, we will celebrate the success of the great City of Detroit. Over the past decade, Detroit has seen major transformations, new businesses, entertainments, restaurants, sporting & cultural events, festivals, and of course PARADES! Thousands of curbside spectators and a parade filled with award-winning floats, helium filled balloons, bands, celebrities and antique papier-mâché heads combine to make this an event you won’t want to miss.
